A Childhood at Risk
Orang Asal children, Malaysia’s indigenous youth, face significant barriers to education, healthcare, and basic rights. Many grow up in remote areas without access to schools, leaving them vulnerable to poverty, discrimination, and limited opportunities.
Right now, less than 50% of Orang Asal children complete secondary school, and many others lack foundational literacy and numeracy skills. These challenges not only hinder their future but also threaten the survival of their culture and identity.
SUKA Society's Mission
SUKA Society is dedicated to ensuring that every Orang Asal child has the opportunity to thrive. Through targeted programs and grassroots efforts, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and provide these children with the tools they need for a brighter future.
Our initiatives include:
Education Access
Establishing mobile classrooms and learning centers in remote villages to bring education closer to the children.
Basic Literacy Programs
Teaching Orang Asal children how to read and write, empowering them to participate more fully in society.
Advocacy & Awareness
Working with government and private organizations to promote the rights of Orang Asal children.
Sustainable Skills Training
Partnering with communities to provide life skills that ensure long-term independence and self reliance.
